State League AFL Fantasy Scores – Week 20, 2025

Each week, we track the standout AFL Fantasy scorers in the state leagues to identify potential cash cows, role changes, and possible inclusions. There were some big scores and intriguing role developments, especially where injuries or poor form could open the door for changes at AFL level.

VFL

Oscar McInerney was huge for Brisbane in their narrow loss to Casey, racking up 23 disposals, 26 hitouts, 13 clearances and a goal for 120 AFL Fantasy points.

Elijah Hollands made a strong return for Carlton with 25 disposals, nine marks, one goal and 113 points, while teammate Mitch McGovern was solid with 21 touches, 10 marks and 102.

Jaxon Binns did his usual ball-magnet thing with 24 touches, a goal and 99 points.

At Essendon, Xavier O’Neill led the way with 27 disposals and 111 points, while Will Phillips was busy for North Melbourne, collecting 21 disposals, 10 clearances and 108 points.

Ted Clohesy was everywhere for Geelong with 28 disposals, eight tackles, a goal and 128 points, and George Stevens wasn’t far behind with 30 disposals, seven tackles and 116. Patrick Retschko also impressed with 30 touches and 107 points.

Casey’s Jack Billings (19 disposals, 14 marks, one goal, 112 points) and Charlie Spargo (22 touches, six tackles, 105 points) were both key in their win, while Riley Bonner added 100 points from 30 touches.

For Richmond, Jacob Koschitzke turned heads with 27 disposals, 26 hitouts, eight clearances and four goals for a massive 131 points.

Sandringham’s Jack Carroll (34 disposals, 13 clearances, 104 points) and Tobie Travaglia (21 disposals, eight tackles, 97 points) were among the better contributors in defeat.

Footscray had Michael Sellwood rack up 28 disposals, 10 marks for 117 points, and Nick Coffield with 27 touches, eight marks for 106.

SANFL

Adelaide’s Billy Dowling was unstoppable with 40 disposals, eight marks, two goals and 148 points. Matt Crouch again hit triple figures with 33 touches, eight tackles and 120 points. Kieran Strachan dominated the ruck with 39 hitouts, 16 disposals, a goal and 108 points, while Brodie Smith had 22 disposals, nine marks, five tackles for 97. Charlie Edwards (19 disposals, seven marks, 90 points) and Sid Draper (23 disposals, seven marks, five tackles, 85 points) also got it done.

For Port, Jeremy Finlayson delivered one of the performances of the round — 30 disposals, 17 clearances, 15 hitouts, two goals and 114 points.

WAFL

Liam Reidy produced a monster for Peel Thunder with 49 hitouts, 22 disposals, two goals and 163 points. Cooper Simpson was also prolific with 28 touches and 113 points, and James Aish matched that total with 36 disposals and eight marks.

Noah Long had a good game for West Coast, kicking three goals from 17 disposals and adding six tackles for 112 points. Ruckman Bailey Williams responded to his AFL omission with 34 hitouts, 15 touches and 102 points.

Fantasy coaches should be keeping a close eye on state league performances for potential mid-season pick ups and dynasty gold.
