Round 19, 2026: Captains and Streamers – AFL Fantasy

Left Field Captains

Picking a captain in keeper leagues can be a challenge, especially if injuries or lack of depth leave you without a standout option. That’s where we come in. Instead of the obvious choices, we’re looking at some under-the-radar captaincy options who are averaging under 100 who could deliver big scores this week.

Darcy Cameron comes up against Carlton this week. His season average sits at 84.3, keeping him well under the sub-100 captain target, and the matchup is the big appeal. He scored 108 the last time he played the Blues, averages 116.3 across his last three against them, and Carlton have been one of the easiest teams for rucks to score against, conceding +16.7 points above average over their last five games.

Toby Greene faces Essendon this week. His season average sits at 88.2, and his recent form has been strong, averaging 97.2 across his last five and 109.3 across his last three. He also scored 99 the last time he played the Bombers, giving him a handy matchup profile.

Luke Parker comes up against Melbourne this week. His season average sits at 95.9, keeping him under the target, and he’s been reliable recently, averaging 103.4 across his last five and 103.7 across his last three. He also scored 102 the last time he played Melbourne.

Adam Cerra takes on Collingwood this week. His season average sits at 83.4, which keeps him comfortably in this category, but his recent form is the reason to look at him. He’s averaging 105.0 across his last three and scored 135 the last week at the MCG, where he returned to the CBA mix for Carlton.

Nic Newman also faces Collingwood this week. His season average sits at 93.3, and his history in this matchup is excellent. He scored 101 the last time he played the Pies and averages 130.0 across his last three against them, giving him one of the better matchup-based cases this week.

Finn Callaghan comes up against Essendon this week. His season average sits at 97.5, so he still fits the under-100 captain brief, and his recent scoring has been solid. He’s averaging 97.0 across his last five and 100.3 across his last three, while also scoring 95 the last time he played the Bombers.

Vice-Captain Options

For vice-captains, we focus on players featuring in the Thursday and Friday night games. This week that means Fremantle v Sydney and Collingwood v North Melbourne, giving us a few strong early-loop options to consider.

Rowan Marshall comes up against Geelong this week. His season average sits at 80.2, keeping him well under the sub-100 VC target, but his recent form is excellent. He’s averaging 98.2 across his last five and 116.0 across his last three, while also scoring 104 the last time he played the Cats.

Bradley Hill also faces Geelong this week. His season average sits at 95.1, and his recent numbers are huge. He’s averaging 113.2 across his last five and 136.0 across his last three, making him one of the more exciting early VC options on the slate.

Hugo Garcia comes up against Geelong this week. His season average sits at 88.8, and he’s been in excellent touch, averaging 108.0 across his last five and 118.0 across his last three. That sort of form makes him a strong Thursday night VC swing.

Chad Warner faces Adelaide this week. His season average sits at 89.7, keeping him under the target, and his recent form is strong. He’s averaging 106.0 across his last five and 107.7 across his last three, while also averaging 109.3 across his last three at the SCG.

Callum Mills also takes on Adelaide this week. His season average sits at 89.3, and he’s averaging 96.4 across his last five. He scored 107 the last time he played the Crows and 102 the last time he played at the SCG, giving him a solid Friday night VC case.
