State League AFL Fantasy Scores – Week 17, 2023

SANFL, WAFL and VFL fantasy scores are a must-have resource during the fantasy season, whether you’re into AFL Fantasy classic, draft, or keeper leagues. AFL-listed players that dominate the reserves competitions generally are the first in line to fill a need at the elite level, should a player get injured or fall out of form. The closer we monitor these performances, the faster we can get on the waiver wire and snap them up!

Below are the top scorers of the week that you should be paying attention to…

VFL

With the Bombers season basically over, surely, we see Elijah Tsatas (93) in the AFL next week. The youngster had 23 touches in his side’s narrow loss. Sam Weideman (109) went back to the VFL and found some touch with 24 disposals and 13 marks. Massimo D’Ambrosio (106) is another who may get an opportunity at AFL level next week after his game high 28 disposals.

The Dogs demolished the Bullants by 157 points and some of their players had a fill up including Jordan Sweet (170) with 50 hitouts, 23 touches and two goals, Toby McLean (161) with 33 touches and three goals and Rory Lobb (125) 21 touches and 5 goals.

Luke Dunstan (141) had 41 touches and kicked a goal, while James Harmes (103) had 33 touches. Brodie Grundy’s (72) first game as a forward was a little wayward with the big man kicking one goal from four attempts.

Surely Jaxon Binns (125) can’t be far off an AFL debut. He had another 34 touches and a goal while Lochie O’Brien (131) had 28 touches and Marc Pittonet (106) returned from injury with 18 hitouts, 16 touches and a goal.

Jarryd Lyons (114) didn’t miss a beat back at VFL level with 32 touches and a goal while Deven Robertson (96) had 25 disposals and also kicked a goal. They played the Cats who had Mitch Knevitt (95) pick up 28 touches while Brandan Parfitt (105) had 25 disposals and kicked a goal.  

Brayden Fiorini (156) was up to his old tricks in the VFL with 45 disposals and a goal. Charlie Constable (130) had 39 disposals while Jeremy Sharp (112) had 27 touches and kicked a goal. Conor Budarick (105) had a successful return to footy with 23 touches.

Around the grounds, Harry Morrison (109) and Cam Mackenzie (102) were two of the Hawks best against the Tigers collecting 25 and 27 disposals respectively. Jack Ginnivan (109) kicked two and had 28 touches against Sandringham, while Nick Coffield (107) returned from injury with 28 touches of his own.  

SANFL

Jase Burgoyne (94) had a team high 23 touches for the Magpies in their win over Sturt. Riley Bonner (100) and Quinton Narkle (74) both had 22 touches, while Jackson Mead (74) had 18 touches and kicked a goal.

Crows big man Kieran Strachan (143) was dominant in his sides big win with 27 hitouts, 25 touches and kicked a goal. Tyler Brown (117) had his best game of the year with 35 touches and two goals while Jake Soligo (95) found some touch with 27 touches and a goal.   

WAFL

Young Freo ruckman Liam Reidy (85) had a great game in the middle with 42 hitouts while Heath Chapman (47) returned from injury with 11 touches.

Greg Clark (141) showed why he is such a good player finding 37 touches, while Zane Trew (112) had 32 touches. Luke Edwards (83) also had a decent game with 19 touches and a goal.
