Three classy Dogs put the pressure on Bevo for an AFL recall, Cam Mackenzie continues his great form and plenty of Dons are in form to take Xavier Duursma’s spot.
Top Performers:
Jarryd Lyons (155) was back to his ball winning best with 29 touches, 9 tackles, 13 clearances and two goals.
Finn Maginness (151) once again showed he’s more than just a tagger sneaking up forward to boot two goals to go along with his 32 disposals.
Jack Macrae (143) just keeps reminding Bevo he’s still got game registering a game high 43 disposals and 10 clearances.
Nick Haynes (140) continues to be a force in defence for the Giants, this week collecting 39 touches and taking 12 marks across half back.
Oskar Baker (135) had the ball on a string out on the wing for the Dogs with 31 touches and 2 goals
Ryley Sanders (134) will have Dogs fans salivating at his display on the weekend. The youngster booted 3 goals and had 39 disposals
Will Setterfield (134) continues to play some really good footy at VFL level. He had a game high 43 touches and 8 clearances in the Bombers win.
Rory Atkins (134) did what he does week in week out, collecting a game high 36 touches.
Ben Hobbs (131) is really banging down the door for an AFL recall. He had 34 touches, 8 tackles and kicked a goal on the weekend.
Deven Robertson (124) would be getting a game at most other club’s at the moment. He continues his sensational form, having a game high 36 touches and 13 clearances
Charlie Lazzaro (123) was one of the Roos best with one goal, 24 touches and 13 tackles.
James Leake (121) should be in everyone’s blackbooks ahead of next year, this time with 35 touches.
Nick Hind (111) is Mr Consistent at VFL level, this weekend he slotted one goal and had 27 touches
Cam Mackenzie (116) is putting together a really impressive block of footy back at VFL level and had himself another 32 disposals on the weekend.
Harry Sharp (107) is still in my blackbook for a year or two’s time. He kicked a goal and had 20 touches for the Lions.
Darcy Macpherson (104) showed signs of life in the VFL with a goal and 28 touches.
Elijah Tsatas (101) continues to find the footy with ease at VFL level, this time picking up 32 disposals through the midfield.
Will Brodie (99) keeps on keeping on with 31 touches and a goal
Round 22 Watchlist:
Nick Hind: looks the most likely replacement for the injured Xavier Duursma. Has the outside run required for a spot on the wing and played well in the VFL.
Ben Hobbs/Elijah Tsatas: are two blokes deserving of an AFL recall. Have done no wrong back in the VFL and could be likely ins this week.
Jack Macrae: had no troubles finding the footy after being ‘managed’ a couple weeks back. Will definitely have done his chances of a recall no harm.
