After a bye round in the VFL and SANFL, the blokes lingering in the twos finally got a chance to display their talents once again. From tip of the caps to returning veterans and pending AFL debuts, last weekend had it all in the State Leagues:

Top Performers:

Rory Atkins (157): Flexing his Fantasy muscles, Atkins dominated with 37 disposals and 20 marks and showed he’s too good to be stuck in the Reserves.

Bailey Laurie (137): Deserving a tip of the cap, Laurie laid an incredible 20 tackles.

Jordon Sweet (137): In promising signs for Port’s ruck depth, Sweet was dominant with 2 goals, 19 touches, and 37 hitouts against West Adelaide.

Ned Moyle (129): Showing he’s the best ruckman in the VFL, Moyle tallied 43 hitouts and added a goal to his impressive performance.

Fin Macrae (129): Keeping the dream alive for truthers, Macrae impressed with 31 disposals and 11 tackles for the Pies.

Riley Garcia (123): Providing Luke Beveridge with selection headaches, Garcia impressed with 35 disposals and a goal.

James Harmes (123): Alongside Garcia, Harmes managed 34 disposals and a goal, presenting a strong case for selection.

Arie Schoenmaker (113): Proving himself as a Fantasy player of the future, Schoenmaker amassed 32 disposals and kicked a goal.

Josh Fahey (116): Continuing to impress, Fahey showcased his readiness for AFL level with 29 disposals and a goal.

Connor Budarick (108): Eager for an AFL recall, Budarick made his presence felt with 19 disposals and 8 tackles.

Callan Ward (100): Returning from injury, Ward led the charge with a game-high 33 disposals and could find himself back at AFL level this weke.

Samson Ryan (96): Making an impact with 4 goals, Ryan’s performance in the mid/ruck role could earn him a recall after the Tigers loss on the weekend.

Caleb Daniel (91): Doing himself no harm in earning a recall, Daniel contributed with 26 touches.

Billy Dowling (82): Despite a quieter outing, Dowling was among the Crows’ better players with 23 disposals.

Round 6 Watchlist:

Callan Ward: Returning from injury with a strong performance, Ward would add some grunt into the Giants side. Will just depends if Adam Kingsley wants to give him another week to regain some touch or not.

Caleb Daniel: We all know he’s way too good to be in the VFL, but you know, Bevo.

Billy Dowling: With Crouch getting rubbed out, this could be the opening Billy Dowling needs. You’d think Berry would replace Crouch in the starting 22 but Dowling could be sub.

Dom Sheed: Despite a very nice win against the Tigers, the Eagles will surely look to add the class of Sheed back into their side sooner or later.
