Some young guns responded after being dropped from the AFL, while some experienced midfielders have put their hands up for a return to the big league this weekend.

Top Performers:

Nick Bryan (143) is having a seriously good year in the VFL. The back-up ruck kicked two goals and had 40 hitouts to go with his 25 disposals on the weekend.

Hugo Garcia (141) did not enjoy being dropped from the AFL side, He went full beast mode for the Zebras with 29 touches, 11 tackles, 1 goal and 8 clearances.

Jhye Clark (127) showed that he is a star of the future with 27 touches and 2 goals as he led the Cats to victory. With 7 tackles and 7 clearances, Clark will be a key cog in the Cats midfield going forward.

Jarryd Lyons (121) did what Jarryd Lyons does. 34 disposals and 7 clearances for one of the unluckiest blokes in the AFL system.

Brad Crouch (109) had the ball on a string with 38 touches and should find himself back in the AFL side this weekend.

Caleb Poulter (116) was ultra-impressive for the Dogs with 2 goals and 30 disposals against the Giants.

Deven Robertson (113) showed his talent with 25 touches and a goal in the Lions narrow in over the Dees.

Luke Parker (111) was once again impressive in the Reserves with 25 touches and 10 tackles however looks to be in trouble after a bump which could see him miss a few games.

James Tunstill (110) is a player to have in your black book as the Lions youngster had 28 touches and 6 clearances against the Dees.

Jaxon Binns (109) continues to do no wrong at VFL level with a team-high 28 disposals. Would love for him to get an extended crack at AFL level in a floundering Blues side.

James Peatling (104) continued his good form this season with 25 touches, 3 goals and 10 clearances.

Zach Reid (104) should be right to go at AFL level this weekend after another great game in the VFL. The key defender had 21 touches and 10 marks against the Roos.

Jack Hayes (101) was another Saint who responded well after being dropped with 18 touches and 2 goals.

Angus Sheldrick (93) had a game-high 30 disposals for the Swans showing he will be one to stash for the future.

Round 11 Watchlist:

Hugo Garcia: A week in the twos looked like it did exactly what it was supposed to. Garcia found a lot of confidence at the lower level and should be ready to bring that back at AFL level against the Dees.

Brad Crouch: Jack Steele has had to shoulder a large burden in the Saints engine room and the class and experience of Crouch should be too hard to ignore for Ross the Boss.

Zach Reid: After back-to-back games in the VFL, a matchup against the Tigers looks a perfect opportunity for the talented key defender to return to AFL level.
