State League Fantasy Scores – Week 10, 2022

Kieran Strachan responded in a big way after being dropped, a heap of Suns had a day out and some young Saints are banging down the door for an AFL recall.

VFL

Brayden Fiorini (139) responded in a big way after being dropped with a 40 touch, 2 goal game while Jack Bowes (108) looks close to full fitness after his injury woes with 30 touches. Sam Flanders (112) continued his great form at VFL level with 2 goals and 26 touches and Elijah Hollands (84) was busy again with 23 touches.  

Young Swan Dylan Stephens (147) can’t be far off an AFL recall after his 37 disposal outing against the Tigers. He was backed up by Lewis Taylor (143) who had 38 touches and kicked a goal in the win. For the Tigers, Tyler Sonsie (90) was good again with 25 touches and a goal and Matty Parker (83) kicked two goals. 

Some big names were running around in the Zebras v Saints clash on Sunday. Jack Billings (91) kicked a goal and had 24 touches while Jaidyn Stephenson (71) had 23 touches. Saints forward Dan Butler (116) kicked 5 goals, while Tom Campbell (122) had a whopping 51 hitouts. 

Around the grounds, Jamarra Ugle-Hagan (100) kicked 6 goals in the Dogs thrashing of Williamstown, Rhys Mathieson (107) had 37 touches for the Lions and Tom Cutler (129) had 33 touches and kicked a goal for the Bombers. 

Most importantly for regular Keeper League listeners, Joel ‘The Trudge’ Trudgeon (104) notched up a tonne and had a game high 27 touches. 

SANFL

Much like ROB the week before, Kieran Strachan (136) dominated at SANFL level with 41 hitouts and 16 touches. The big man also laid 7 tackles. Harry Schoenberg (89) and Lachie Sholl (87) both found plenty of the footy, while Elliott Himmelberg (81) was wayward in front of goal kicking 2.3.

Port sons of guns, Jase Burgoyne (124) and Jackson Mead (120) were the standout players for the Magpies on Saturday. Burgoyne had 34 touches while Mead had 23 and laid 9 tackles. Mitch Georgiades (77) kicked 2 goals and Xavier Duursma (60) had 19 touches.

WAFL

Mitch Crowden (113) continues to find plenty of the footy at WAFL level with 27 touches and a couple goals on the weekend. Lloyd Meek (106) was instrumental in the middle with 30 hitouts and 21 touches, while Karl Worner (93) continues to show good signs finding 25 touches. 

Dropped Eagle Patrick Naish (83) had 21 touches while Dom Sheed (55) and Elliot Yeo (40) started to find some touch after long injury layoffs.
