  • Avatar photo

Each week, we will bring you the top AFL listed performers from the SANFL, VFL and WAFL so you can see how players in your draft and keeper league teams are tracking.

This information will help you find the better fantasy scorers at the reserves level, and also judge if players are in line for a call up soon so you can grab them off the waiver wire.

Here are the top performers from each state league from the matches played over the weekend.

VFL

Can Luke Beveridge please get Patrick Lipinski (143) back in the AFL side? He was everywhere on Friday night finding 36 touches, 5 clearances and kicking 3.2! Teammate Josh Schache (122) also had a night out kicking 6.1 and clunking 14 marks against the Cats. Charlie Constable (121), Jordan Clark (115) and Rhys Stanley (108) also had good games for the Cats. Can one of Constable or Clark find their way back into the AFL side to replace Mitch Duncan?

Surely Stewie Dew makes some changes this week after another horrid display by the Suns. Ben Ainsworth (130) was absolutely dominant with 24 touches, 5 tackles and 4.3. Jeremy Sharp (108) continued his excellent form with 31 touches, while Darcy MacPherson (105) was also very good with 24 touches and 10 tackles.

For the Roos Tom Campbell (118) had 29 hitouts and a goal, while Will Phillips (108) continued to build on his good VFL form, finding 30 touches and 7 tackles.GWS midseason recruit James Peatling (124) was an eye catcher in his first game for the Club with 27 touches. Levi Casboult (121) had 22 touches and 22 hitouts while veteran Marc Murphy (104) and out of favour Sam Petrevski-Seton (102) had 26 and 25 touches respectively. Essendon defender Marty Gleeson (120) had 30 touches and kicked a goal while draftee Zac Reid (92) had 17 touches and 11 marks. New Tiger Matt Parker (112) also impressed in his debut game in the yellow and black with 20 touches and 10 tackles.

SANFL

Another week, another dominant display by Sam Mayes (125) in the SANFL. Mayes had 27 touches, 11 tackles and 6 clearances in the Magpies loss to Sturt. Boyd Woodcock (89) returned to the SANFL where he picked up 22 touches and 8 tackles while Riley Boner (78) had 19 disposals. Young forward Dylan Williams (92) slotted 6.2 for the Maggies as he develops his craft in the lower level.

WAFL

There was some genuine talent on display for the Eagles WAFL side on Saturday, led by Luke Shuey (101). Shuey had 22 disposals in his return to footy after his nasty hamstring injury in Round 3. Jarrod Brander (84) was also solid in his first game in a few weeks, playing on the wing and collecting 21 touches. Mark Hutchings (145) continued his sensational WAFL form, collecting a match high 32 touches while also sneaking forward for a goal. Alex Witherden (100) had 26 touches (23 kicks) as he looks to get back into the AFL side and talented youngster Xavier O’Neill (104) provided excellent pressure with 19 touches and 11 tackles.
