Some big names returned from injury this week, while some others put up some monster scores including an axed Crow and an Eagles defender.

VFL

In his second game back from some time off, Lachie Hunter (111) had 26 touches, while Toby McLean (81) played his first game of footy this year and had 19 touches and kicked two goals. Sam Darcy (94) had his best game of his young career with 17 touches and 21 hitouts.

The second stringers at Carlton continue to find plenty of footy with Liam Stocker (114), Paddy Dow (107) and Will Hayes (105) among the major ball winners, as was Joel Trudgeon (146).

Another week, another big Rhys Mathieson (145) score. The Lion had 2 goals and 43 touches against the Magpies. Darcy Fort (120) continued his great form with 2 goals, 20 touches and 24 hitouts, while Tom Fullarton (118) kicked 3 goals. In the same game, mid-season draftee, Josh Carmichael (95) pushed his case for a debut with 24 touches.

Tom Highmore (150) continues to bash the door down for his first game of the year with 34 touches and 13 marks for Sandringham. Tom Campbell (130) was dominant in the ruck once again with 43 hitouts while Jack Higgins (69) had 18 touches and a goal.

Around the grounds, young Cat Cooper Stephens (113) picked up 28 touches and a goal against Richmond. Callum Coleman-Jones (109) had 25 disposals, 26 hitouts and a goal against the Bullants. Rory Atkins (128) had another dominant game for the Suns with 34 touches, while Mitch Brown (128) kicked 6 goals for Casey.

SANFL

Matt Crouch (129) had no trouble finding the footy at SANFL level collecting 42 touches. He did have 29 handballs however which may not help his chances of a recall to the AFL side next week. Andrew McPherson (122) had a second great game in a row finding 30 disposals. Lachie Sholl (110) was also among the major ball winners with 32 disposals. With an injury to Shane McAdam, Tariek Newchurch (92) will be pushing for his debut after kicking 4 goals.

It was a bad day for Port as they got thumped by Glenelg. Orazio Fantasia (81) managed to avoid injury but was wasteful in front of goal kicking 4 behinds. It will be tough to see Sam Hayes (46) getting a recall after only finding the footy 6 times in the loss.

WAFL

First-year player Neil Erasmus (75) continues to push his case for selection after a 24 disposal, 1 goal game for Peel. It was good to see Matt Johnson (75) find some footy as well with 22 touches. Darcy Tucker (71) was used up forward and kicked 3 goals.

A young man by the name of Nic Naitanui (103) returned to footy on the weekend with 17 touches, 26 hitouts and 2 goals. Defender Harry Edwards (155) was an absolute wall with 23 marks and 30 disposals, while Alex Witherden (111) also had plenty of footy with 27 touches but once again, only the one tackle. Patrick Naish (129) was dangerous on the wing with 25 touches and 2 goals, while Greg Clark (115) had 27 touches and 6 tackles.
