State League Fantasy Scores – Week 15, 2022

Fantasy favourites Preuss, Crouch and Fiorini all racked up big scores, while some Pies youngsters start to find some nice form!

VFL

Rhys Mathieson (118) and Mitch Robinson (128) once again dominated at VFL level with 65 disposals between them. Deven Robertson (98) responded after his axing with 19 touches and a goal, while Darcy Fort (122) was instrumental in the middle with 36 hitouts. For the Dogs, Louis Butler (103) continued his solid year in the VFL finding 26 touches and a goal. Toby McLean (81) had 24 touches in his second game back after an ACL, while Lachie McNeil (75) booted three goals.

The Swans absolutely destroyed the Bombers and Harry Cunningham (148) led the way for the victors. Cunningham had 35 touches and 15 marks, while Lewis Taylor (141) and James Bell (136) both racked up 32 disposals and a goal. Pete Ladhams (92) had 22 touches, 1 goal and 20 hitouts as he pushes for a recall. 

In scenes that will bring a tear to the eye of many Fantasy coaches, Braydon Preuss (127) dominated in the VFL with 1 goal, 16 touches and 43 hitouts. Jarrod Brander (119) continued his excellent form with 29 touches while Jake Stein (109) was a rock in defence with 27 disposals and 8 marks. Jacob Hopper (44) returned from injury with 1 goal and 18 touches. Josh Ward (102) has really started to find confidence in his game in the VFL winning 27 touches and kicking a goal  

Some Pies youngsters put their hands up for selection with some good outings in the VFL against Richmond. Trent Bianco (111) kicked 2 goals and had 26 touches, Caleb Poulter (97) had 23 touches, while Josh Carmichael (94) had 25 touches. For the Tigers Tyler Sonsie (96) had another excellent game with 31 disposals. 

Around the grounds, Callum Coleman-Jones (133) was dominant for the Roos with 24 touches and 34 hitouts. Kade Chandler (133) kicked five goals to go with his 29 disposals for the Demons. Brayden Fiorini (138) had no issues finding the footy once again with 34 touches and 9 tackles.

SANFL

It was another big game from Matt Crouch (129) in the SANFL. He had 41 touches and 11 clearances but only two tackles. Kieran Strachan (125) did what he does best winning 22 touches and 41 hitouts. Elliott Himmelberg (98) kicked two goals, while mid-season recruit Brett Turner (62) had 24 touches in his first game for the club. 

Port got absolutely smacked in the SANFL. The side could only manage one goal for the whole match, going down to North Adelaide by 126 points. Sam Mayes (100) was one of the only guys who could hold his head high with 26 touches. First year midfielder Hugh Jackson (56) kicked the side’s only goal.

WAFL

There were no games in the WAFL this week.
