State League Fantasy Scores – Week 6, 2022

Some big names returned through the lower leagues this week and there were some monster scores courtesy of some big bags of goals. 

VFL

Jack Billings (105) made a classy return to footy with a 21 disposal, 1 goal game. He was joined by Zak Jones (70) who collected 20 touches in his second game after some time away from the game. Ryan Byrnes (105) put his hand up for an AFL recall with 25 touches and 3 goals while Tom Highmore (91) took 9 marks and had 21 touches in defence.

The talented Oli Henry (119) kicked 7 goals for the Pies, while Mason Cox (111) gave the selectors something to think about kicking 3 goals and winning 25 hitouts. Rookie Cooper Murley (92) kicked two goals and had 17 touches, while Finlay Macrae (80) and Caleb Poulter (80) also found plenty of the footy both having over 20 disposals.

Jake Riccardi (147) slotted nine goals in the Giants demolition of the Bullants. Jarrod Brander (120), Jacob Wehr (103) and James Peatling (101) all had great games while Tanner Bruhn (90) had a game high 31 disposals and kicked a goal after being dropped this week.  

Other big scorers from the weekend included Deven Robertson (128) with 2 goals and 22 touches, Hayden Crozier (117) with 27 touches, Paddy Dow (103) with 34 touches and Charlie Constable (99) with 1 goal and 26 touches

SANFL

James Rowe (102) was busy for the Crows finding 24 touches and a goal while Mitch Hinge (95) should be back in the selection frame after his 20 disposal, one goal game. Wayne Milera (89) had his best game in the SANFL this year with 23 touches while excitement machine Tariek Newchurch (83) continues his solid season with 2 goals and 16 touches. 

Another week, another good game from Sam Mayes (108) He continues to find plenty of footy at SANFL level, collecting 28 touches on  Sunday. Lachie Jones (95) won’t be too far off an AFL recall after his 20 touch game while Xavier Duursma (66) was quiet after being the sub in the AFL game on Saturday night, only winning 16 touches.

WAFL

It was the WAFL Derby on the weekend with Connor Blakely (131) leading his side to victory. Blakely had 31 touches in Peel’s win and he was backed up by Sam Sturt (75) who kicked 3 goals up forward. For the Eagles Jamaine Jones (85) was busy with 26 touches while Josh Rotham (83) had 21 disposals down back.
