Some experienced players put up some big scores this weekend as most of the State League action came courtesy of the VFL this weekend thanks to SA and WA playing state footy.

VFL

Mason Cox (122) was dominant in the ruck for the Pies in their big win over the Dogs. Cox won 47 hitouts and picked up 17 touches in a match-winning performance. Trent Bianco (87) had his best game of the year winning 17 touches and laying 5 tackles. For the Dogs, Hayden Crozier (104) controlled the backline taking 14 marks and picking up 24 touches.

The Demons absolutely destroyed the Roos on Sunday with 5 Melbourne players all tonning up. Jacob Van Rooyen (116) and Sam Weideman (113) both kicked 6 goals, while Majak Daw (117) had 44 hitouts in the ruck. Luke Dunstan (112) had 31 touches and kicked 3 goals while Toby Bedford (101) kicked 2 goals and had 24 disposals.

Around the grounds, upcoming midfielder James Peatling (101) had the most touches for the Giants on Sunday picking up 27 disposals while Jarrod Brander (99) also had no trouble finding the footy with 22 disposals. Experienced Hawks duo Dan Howe (105) and Liam Shiels (102) were prominent in their win over the Tigers, picking up 24 and 22 touches respectively.

WAFL

The Eagles played their game they missed the other week against East Fremantle. They probably shouldn’t have bothered, going down 146 to 23. Brady Hough (58), Rhett Bazzo (48) and Zane Trew (42) were the only AFL listed players to play.
