CBAs Analysis: Round 19, 2025- AFL Fantasy

See who the winners and losers were in the CBAs over the weekend.

In AFL Fantasy, Centre Bounce Attendances (CBAs) are one of the most valuable indicators of a player’s role and scoring potential. Each week, changes in CBAs can signal role shifts, coaching adjustments, or evolving team strategies—all of which are crucial for fantasy coaches looking to stay ahead of the game. Each week, I’ll be selecting five key players whose midfield involvement is worth highlighting. For a more detailed breakdown of all the biggest movers, members can access our CBA analysis data tools here.

Stephen Coniglio

Steven Coniglio returned to the GWS lineup on the weekend and went straight into the midfield, attending 67% of centre bounces. Earlier in the season, before his injury, he was used almost exclusively as a forward and didn’t register a single centre bounce attendance. It now looks like the Giants are going to use him in the midfield for the rest of the season. While he only scored 67 points, the role change should lead to better fantasy scoring, especially now that he’s forward-listed.

Brynn Teakle

Brynn Teakle attended 65% of centre bounces for North Melbourne, stepping up after Callum Coleman-Jones was subbed out before quarter time with a calf injury. Left to ruck solo for most of the match, Teakle responded with a strong 95-point game. With Tristan Xerri still suspended for two more weeks, and if North doesn’t bring in another ruck, Teakle shapes up as a handy short-term streaming option.

Gryan Miers

Gryan Miers had a surprise spike in midfield usage, attending 42% of the centre bounces for Geelong, his first CBA action of the year. With George Stevens omitted and Oisín Mullin left out of the midfield rotation, the Cats turned to Miers for something different. He’s usually played as a forward, so it’s hard to say whether this will stick, but if it does, there’s definite upside. Given his forward status and already strong scoring, a small role shift like this could be handy for consistency.

Beau McCreery

Beau McCreery saw a big jump in centre bounce attendances, going from 6% last week to 44% for Collingwood. He’s often used as a spark in the midfield when the Pies are struggling to generate pressure, and it worked – he laid 15 tackles and scored 98 points. The issue is that he’s been thrown into this role sporadically in the past and usually drops away the following week. He’s a tough one to trust week-to-week, but if you can pick the right matchup, he might be a worthwhile streamer.

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera

Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera went to 79% of centre bounces for St Kilda, up from 43% the week before. That’s a significant jump, and it feels like the Saints are trying to boost his trade value by showcasing him in the midfield. If this role continues, expect more big scores to come. With a favourable run of matchups to finish the season, he’s even worth considering as a captain option for the late stages of the season.
