State League AFL Fantasy Scores – Week 7, 2023

  • Avatar photo

SANFL, WAFL and VFL fantasy scores are a must-have resource during the fantasy season, whether you’re into AFL Fantasy classic, draft, or keeper leagues. AFL-listed players that dominate the reserves competitions generally are the first in line to fill a need at the elite level, should a player get injured or fall out of form. The closer we monitor these performances, the faster we can get on the waiver wire and snap them up!

Below are the top scorers of the week that you should be paying attention to…

VFL

It was a case of sub one day, 32 touches the next for Jarryd Lyons (113). He looks mighty close to a proper AFL return after groin issues. Deven Robertson (107) also found plenty of footy with 31 touches as did Rhys Mathieson (111) who had 28 disposals and kicked a goal. For the Blues, Matt Owies (108) kicked three goals, while Paddy Dow (105) and Zac Fisher (101) were busy in the midfield with 26 and 32 touches respectively. The biggest talking point of the match however was the display from likely number one draft pick Harley Reid (116) who had 21 touches and 9 tackles playing for the Blues.

Tom Hickey (108) had a big game against Frankston with 38 hit outs and a goal. He could be in line for a return this week. Dylan Stephens (123) led the way in the middle after being dropped with 29 touches and 10 tackles. Will Gould (95) also had 20 touches.

Aaron Hall (126) had the ball on a string collecting 33 disposals for the Roos against the Zebras. Will Phillips (91) had 25 touches while Tarryn Thomas (61) had 19 touches in his return to footy. For the Zebras, Jack Billings (117) had 22 touches and Marcus Windhager (98) had 27 and kicked a goal.

It was a dominant display in the ruck from Ned Moyle (118) who had 42 hitouts against the Demons. Charlie Constable (110) made the most of that great service with 31 touches while Jeremy Sharp (101) continued his solid form with 24 touches. Alex Sexton (102) kicked five goals while Charlie Spargo (112) was one of the best for the Demons with 22 touches and a goal.

Around the grounds, Cam Mackenzie (129) had another outstanding game with 30 touches and a goal while Fin Macrae (124) continues to rack up the footy with 26 touches and 11 tackles. Dropped Bombers pair Massimo D’Ambrosio (107) and Will Snelling (105) responded well with 24 and 19 touches respectively.

SANFL

The forgotten Andrew McPherson (129) had a game-high 29 touches in the Crows win over the Roosters. Young defenders Josh Worrell (115) and Patrick Parnell (112) both had 26 touches while Sam Berry (100) was a bull in the midfield laying 10 tackles to go with his 17 touches.

Young Port midfielder Hugh Jackson (101) was the standout performer for the Magpies in their win. He had 23 touches and laid 10 tackles against the Redlegs. Jase Burgoyne (74) and Jackson Mead (63) were quiet with 17 and 14 touches respectively.

WAFL

It was another tough game for the Eagles in the WAFL going down by 97 points. In the ruck Callum Jamieson (76) had 16 touches and 23 hit outs while his understudy Harry Barnett (23) had 12 hitouts and kicked a goal.

For the Dockers Liam Henry (99) put his hand up for selection with a 26 disposal showing. Karl Worner (75) had another good game at WAFL level with 23 touches while Will Brodie (66) had 24 disposals. Sam Sturt (97) was a presence up forward with 24 touches, 7 marks and a goal.
