State League Fantasy Scores – Week 21, 2022

  • Avatar photo

SANFL, WAFL and VFL fantasy scores are a must-have resource during the fantasy season, whether you’re into AFL Fantasy classic, draft, or keeper leagues.

AFL-listed players that dominate the reserves competitions generally are the first in line to fill a need at the elite level, should a player get injured or fall out of form.

The closer we monitor these performances, the faster we can get on the waiver wire and snap them up!

Below are the top scorers of the week that you should be paying attention to…

VFL

It would be a shock if Tom Campbell (110) wasn’t at a new Club next year as he looks wasted at the Saints. The big man had 40 hitouts and 20 touches in the VFL. Teammate Ryan Byrnes (110) had one of his better games with 29 touches while for the Lions, Kai Lohman (101) he continues to show positive signs with 3 goals and 24 touches. Next year’s likely number one pick, Will Ashcroft (97) played his third VFL game for the year collecting 29 touches and 1 goal. Looks like he’ll be an absolute star.

Swans recruit Pete Ladhams (156) showed us what he can do when he’s up and about, picking up 32 disposals, 12 marks and 28 hitouts in the Swans win over the Pies. The consistent Harry Cunningham (124) had a good game with 26 touches while the forgotten Lewis Taylor (122) keeps impressing at VFL level with 29 touches and a goal. Angus Sheldrick (104) had one of his best games for the Swans with 31 touches while for the Pies Fin Macrae (111) kicked two goals and 29 touches as one of the best for Collingwood.

Unlucky Dees utility James Harmes (135) pushed for a recall to the AFL side after picking up 35 touches in the VFL while Jake Bowey (101) continued his solid form at the level with 23 touches. Backup Blues midfielders Lachie Fogarty (123), Will Hayes (118) and Jack Carroll (103) all had great games with Fogarty laying 14 tackles while Hayes had 31 touches.

Around the grounds, Brayden Fiorini (149) went absolutely bananas again with 2 goals, 32 touches and 14 tackles. Tarryn Thomas (115) recaptured his best form with 29 touches and 3 goals while Jason Horne-Francis (99) collected 29 touches after being a surprise omission.

SANFL

Big Kieran Strachan (136) got off the chain against the Dogs winning 45 hitouts and collecting 20 touches and a goal. Jackson Hately (120) had a great game with 31 touches and a goal, while Matt Crouch (94) also picked up 30 touches. Elliott Himmelberg (105) also performed well with 22 touches, 10 marks and 12 hitouts

No surprises to see Sam Mayes (138) dominate once again in the SANFL. The midfielder had 34 touches,1  goal and 5 clearances for the Magpies. Brynn Teakle (65) kicked a goal in his return to the SANFL while Trent McKenzie (82) had 22 touches.

WAFL

Forgotten Docker Connor Blakely (117) led the way for Peel with 31 touches on Saturday afternoon. He was joined in the middle by MItch Crowden (104) who had 28 touches. Their big man Lloyd Meek (121) was dominant in the middle with 40 hitouts and he also picked up 22 touches.

On a bad day for the Eagles where they only kicked one goal, Isaiah Winder (86) led the way in the disposal count picking up 30 for his side. Alex Witerden (93) had 26 touches in defence while axed ruckman Bailey Williams (93) had 22 touches and 26 hitouts.
