State League AFL Fantasy Scores – Week 5, 2023

  • Avatar photo

SANFL, WAFL and VFL fantasy scores are a must-have resource during the fantasy season, whether you’re into AFL Fantasy classic, draft, or keeper leagues. AFL-listed players that dominate the reserves competitions generally are the first in line to fill a need at the elite level, should a player get injured or fall out of form. The closer we monitor these performances, the faster we can get on the waiver wire and snap them up!

Below are the top scorers of the week that you should be paying attention to…

VFL

Another week, another big Deven Robertson (127) score for the Lions. Robertson had 29 touches, 9 tackles and a kicked a goal in their big win over the Giants. Noah Answerth (123) was also very damaging with 27 touches and 2 goals. Big man Tom Fullarton (120) kicked five goals while Rhys Mathieson (110) had a game high 33 disposals. Jake Riccardi (120) was the best for the Giants booting four goals and taking 13 marks.

Lachie Bramble (123) had the ball on the strong for the Hawks with 37 touches against Coburg.  Much hyped draftee, Josh Weddle (110) played a great game winning 27 disposals while Jacob Koschitzke (90) kicked three goals.

The Blues/Zebras game was littered with big scores and Paddy Dow (138) led the way with 40 touches for the Blues. Lachie Fogarty (125) had 28 touches while Jack Carroll (123) had 37 touches and kicked a goal. For the Zebras Jack Bytel (122) had 39 disposals while Jack Billings (114) kicked three goals to go with his 22 touches.

A lot of familiar names in the Suns v Roos clash including Rory Atkins (118) who kicked a goal and had 32 touches. Charlie Constable (117) found plenty of footy with 29 touches while Jeremy Sharp (113) had 24 disposals but was wasteful in front of goal, kicking 4 behinds. Hugh Greenwood (116) was the standout for the Roos with 27 touches and 10 tackles. George Wardlaw (92) surely nears a debut after his 23 disposal outing.

Around the grounds, Bombers utility Josh Carmichael (115) kicked 3 goals and had 29 touches against the Magpies and young Swan Angus Sheldrick (158) amassed 39 touches and kicked two goals against the Bullants.

SANFL

Crows ruckman Kieran Strachan (119) had big day out in the middle with 51 hitouts and 16 touches but his influence wasn’t enough for the Crows to get over the line. Harry Schoenberg (105) proved he is too good for SANFL level with another great game finding 24 touches and kicking two goals. Matt Crouch (76) was quieter than normal with 24 touches, while Sam Berry (49) was also quiet with 17 touches.

Midfielder Trent Dumont (101) led the way for the Magpies in their loss to the Blues, he had 26 touches and kicked a goal. New recruit Francis Evans (90) kicked a couple goals and the in and out again Jackson Mead (87) kicked a goal and had 20 touches, as did Riley Bonner (85).

WAFL

After a horror start to their season surely the Dockers bring in young midfielder Neil Erasmus (99) after a team high 27 disposal, 8 tackle game. Nathan Wilson (78) was solid with 23 touches as was Karl Worner (84) who picked up 21 disposals.

As for the Eagles, when Harry Barnett (46) and Callum Jamieson (78) are the only notable AFL listed players playing WAFL, the less said the better.
